Liangshan County People's Government delegates visit FITTERS

Future Nrg Sdn Bhd recently hosted delegates from the Liangshan County People's Government of Shandong Province, The People's Republic of China, for a working visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from the 18th to the 21st of December 2009.

The 11 member delegates comprising of local government officials and private enterprises were headed by the Honourable Mayor of Liangshan County, Mr Chen Guo Hua.

On 25th August 2009, Future Nrg Sdn Bhd and the Liangshan County People’s Government signed an investment agreement for the construction of a Biomass-to-Energy Plant in Liangshan County, Shandong Province in the People’s Republic of China.

The 24MW Liangshan Biomass-to-Energy Plant is to be built in the Liangshan Economic Development Area. The Liangshan Biomass-to-Energy Plant will be constructed in 2 Phases; Phase 1 of 3MW capacity will be constructed and commissioned by 2010 and Phase 2 will be commissioned thereafter. The total investment of this project is US$32 million.


Key highlights of this visit :-

  1. Meeting with senior management officials of the FITTERS Group and the board of directors of Future Nrg to explore further investment opportunities and collaboration between the FITTERS Group and the Liangshan County People’s Government in Liangshan County.
  2. Demonstration of the Pilot Biomass Gasification Plant located in Future Nrg’s facility in Taman Rimba Komanwel, Rawang, Selangor. The Pilot Biomass Gasification Plant was supplied and installed by Future Biomass Gasification Sdn Bhd, our Joint Venture company with ANKUR SCIENTIFIC ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES (P).
  3. Dinner hosted by Future Nrg at the Pavillion Kuala Lumpur in honour of the delegates. Invited VIPs included representatives from the Chinese Embassy, Malaysia-Sino Chamber of Commerce and numerous other Malaysian private enterprises.
  4. Sightseeing around the city of Kuala Lumpur including visits to KLCC and the Petronas Twin Towers, Dataran Merdeka and Istana Negara. The delegates also visited the temples of Batu Caves and a day excursion to Genting Highlands and to the UNESCO historical heritage city of Malacca.
